Dramatic Literature

Watch this reader's theater performed by Mrs. Foster's class.  I want you to think about the elements of dramatic literature while you watch this play.  Do you notice any scenes, acts, cast of characters, or stage directions?  What is the play about?  What is the tone of the play?  Does this play have a theme or message about life, and what do you think is the author's purpose for writing this play?

Post a comment with your thoughts to one or some of these questions.

  16. for the first one i noticed they had long strigs attached to a piece of red paper which probubly said what character each one played.i think the authors purpose is to entertain.i dunno,i didnt really hear it that well.i think the theme might be looks can be deceiving.i think the play is similar to the ugly duckling.even though the odd penguin was,..well...,odd, the penguin saved the other penguins from the hunters with his weird ideas.

note: dont be mean to someone just because they look or act different than others
