Perspective / Point of View
Consider the stories that we read today about the Three Little Pigs. We read a story from the pigs point of view, and we read the wolf's point of view. You then had to think about the different point of views or perspectives that people had who experienced the sinking of the Lusitania during WWI. We discussed three possible point of views in class today. Respond by telling me which point of view you chose to write from. Be sure to include why you chose it in your post, and make sure to include your name. I also challenge you to respond to a classmate who chose a different perspective than you did.

I am the German captain of the U-boat. I chose to do this side of the story because, I want people to know that the crew on the U-boat had feelings and emotions. I also chose this side knowing that many people were going to do the american perspective.Thank you for being a wonderful Reading/Writing/Social Studies teacher

I chose to be a German Captain on the U-boat. I chose this because I wanted people to know that the people on the boat had emotions and feelings about what was going on. I also chose this because I knew that many people were not going to choose this point of view. -Olivia Benoit

I chose my main character as a ship worker with two kids because it doesn't say how ship workers felt or how everybody felt when they saw the rescue ship and then when it got shot down -Julia dream waldrop :)

I choose to be an American passenger. I choose this because I`m able to have a better understanding from this point of view.-Mackenzie Long
ReplyDeleteThe main character I chose to write from is a 22 year old american woman who was on the lusitania during the u-boat attack. The reason I chose her for my point of view is because that point of veiw was interesting to me. It is interesting to me by it showing her emmotions of fear and relief and the exitment of the torpedoes striking all around her.
ReplyDeleteThank you,

I choose an American 12 year old boy who is on the Lusitania when the u-boat attacked. I said this because I wanted to see what it was like to be alive at this time.

Dear Taylor G.,
ReplyDeleteI admire that you chose a 10 year old American girl on the Lusitania during the U-boat attack. It is cool because that is at a younger perspective. The younger perspective would be different than an adult's.
Thank you,
Claire Lamp
I choose a father that was going on the Lusitania in one day. I get the warning but show it to no one because the Lusitania has sailed the atlantic 9 times befor it sank.

ReplyDeleteI chose an american woman with her baby,on the Lusitania, because I watched a video on this woman so I can use the facts to describe what's going on more. The video also helped because I know what type of person she is and how she would describe it.Also Mrs. Moreland said she's excited to read it!

i chose a 29 year old man who is a passenger on the lusitania during the u boat attack i chose this because im american

I would want to be an american that way u could actually see what is happening on board of the Lusitania. That way you can talk about what happened to other people and they could see how scarry it was to be on the Louisiana at that point.
ReplyDeleteI chose to be an american,11 year old girl on the Lusitania with her family because I wanted to know the kids point of view from the adults point of view because I already know that the adults were scared but,I didn't know alot about what the were feeling at that time because kids points of views and adults points of views are a little different.
