Watch this reader's theater performed by Mrs. Foster's class. I want you to think about the elements of dramatic literature while you watch this play. Do you notice any scenes, acts, cast of characters, or stage directions? What is the play about? What is the tone of the play? Does this play have a theme or message about life, and what do you think is the author's purpose for writing this play?
Post a comment with your thoughts to one or some of these questions.
The stage directions were making them march, stomping, and "thump" "thump" "thump".Just to name a few.The scene said to do those things. -Brandon Portalatin
I saw that each student had at least one role , there was about 2 scenes and there was also a couple stage directions I also noticed that they had a character to act out - Sarah
That first one about the penguins or something was kind of sad. While the one about the snowman was happy i guess. P.S. the acting was bad. From, RICKY MARTINEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
for the first one i noticed they had long strigs attached to a piece of red paper which probubly said what character each one played.i think the authors purpose is to entertain.i dunno,i didnt really hear it that well.i think the theme might be looks can be deceiving.i think the play is similar to the ugly duckling.even though the odd penguin was,..well...,odd, the penguin saved the other penguins from the hunters with his weird ideas.
note: dont be mean to someone just because they look or act different than others
Mackenzie Long-In the second play the stage directions were really good. When the snow ball fight began they all threw snowballs(crumbled paper). Then they sledded off stage.
